About Yuvraj Singh |
Yuvraj Singh born on 12 Dec 1981 in Chandigarh. He is son of former Indian Test fast bowler and Punjabi movie star Yograj singh. Yuvraj Singh is also known as 'Yuvi'. All team mates and his friends call by this name 'Yuvi'.
Yuvraj first came to attention when he captained the U-19 Punjab cricket team in the final of the Cooch-Behar Trophy against BiharU-19s, in which he scored 358. This was the turning point of his career and after that he didn't look back and growing more and even more.
He then gained selection for the U-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka in January 2000, where he was part of a team lead by Mohammed Kaif which won the tournament.Yuvraj was subsequently selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. |
